Our featured presenter will be Ted Matthews, CEO of the Anson General Hospital. The title of his presentation will be "Rural Health Innovation and Survival: Finding a Path Forward" which will focus on the confluence and convergence of forces that put significant pressures on rural health. As many of us have seen, Texas is ground zero for hospital closures (26 have shuttered since 2010). To survive, rural healthcare leaders must find a path forward. Mr. Matthews will share lessons learned, insights and community of support (yes, it takes a village) to ensure access to quality healthcare in rural communities. In particular, learn how one hospital is embracing the new Rural Emergency Hospital status to continue to provide care for its community.
